Many ice dealers sell traditional water ice and dry ice to businesses and to the general public. There are many different types of ice to choose from depending on how you will be using the ice. Cubes, crystals, icicles, solid blocks, crushed, and dry ice are only a few of examples you will be able to find. Flake machines are available to make refreshing snow cones while other machines can be used to make silky ice cream or other frozen products. When calling a manufacturer, ask how fresh the ice is that they send out for delivery. Some may deliver aged ice that doesn't work as well. Each company will use a different type of liquid. Ask each company what the liquid is made out of. Some ice may have chemicals for certain uses, while others will want only pure water. Decide on the density you want your icy product to be. Sculptures, popsicles, snow cones, frost, and ice caps will all prefer different levels of density. While ice cubes are available at many different stores, others will have to be specially ordered for delivery. Ice blocks for sculptures will need to be of a certain size you will need to order.
